Unit E - Section 1
Introduction to the Unit
To begin the unit, I had my students watch the following three YouTube videos in order to hook their attention and generate some excitement about the new unit.

From there we created a KWL chart of which outlined all of the ideas and definitions that the students already understood from the unit. We also went through and wrote down one question or idea that every student in the class wanted to learn about throughout the unit.
As a bonus assignment for the stronger students in the class, I challenged the students to research their question and create a presentation on the research they did. The assignment is attached below.
